The Power of Hypnosis

Hypnosis is probably one of the most transformative processes there is. The primary goal of hypnosis is transformation and growth.

My role as a hypnotherapist is to assist you and help you achieve that natural state of mind where healing and change easily happen.

Hypnosis is also one of the most enjoyable experiences you will ever have. Hypnosis uses guided imagery, progressive relaxation and other therapeutic techniques to help you tap into the hypnotic state.

The power to transform

Hypnosis helps you plant new seeds in your mind. It transforms your thinking and helps you overcome obstacles you have spent a lifetime fighting.

As you overcome those old ways of thinking, you start acting and behaving in a more positive way and in a manner that is in alignment with your dreams and goals.

With the power of hypnosis, you can create a new life. You can make changes that help you live in a happier and healthier way.

Hypnosis helps you relax into change and start living the life you truly want to live. Everything begins in the mind in those subconscious thought patterns. You have the power to change anything and everything. Your mind is simply waiting for new instructions.

Everyday research shows us that we can achieve any goal we set out to achieve, by simply using the power of our minds.

Hypnosis is becoming much more widely recognized in terms of science as well. It is quickly gaining credibility in fields such as neuroscience with many scientists pursuing studies utilizing technologies such as brain imaging.

Studies show that hypnosis can treat everything from chronic pain to weight loss or smoking cessation.

Both meditation and hypnosis reduce stress by activating the left prefrontal lobe of the brain, which is linked to positive emotions and self-control.

Hypnosis differs from meditation in the fact that hypnosis is most often used to deliver some kind of therapeutic or positive change.

According to researchers, the model of brain function during a process such as hypnosis shows that certain neurological pathways occur between conscious thought processing and unconscious activity.

The truth is the conscious mind does not like change, so we often find that what we are doing is simply repeating the same old comfortable patterns over and over again.

Many of us can look back at the events that have occurred in our lives and recognize the patterns, because we have spent much of our valuable time repeating the same old destructive ones.

Hypnosis provides the mind with new instructions with which to follow.

The subconscious mind does not know the difference between reality and imagination, and that is secret as to why it works so well.

If you can dream it, you can achieve it, as they say. It’s just a matter of swapping out those old recordings with new ones. It’s as simple as that.

Hypnosis is a transformative and accumulative process. It can work miracles. The mind has an incredible ability to make changes and there is no limitation to what you can overcome with hypnosis. The field is expanding day by day and there is much more hypnosis can do beyond just helping you lose weight or stop smoking. There are literally hundreds and hundreds of applications and new categories being developed and researched all of the time.

What is hypnosis?

Hypnosis is essentially a form of focused concentration. You are always in control, and you can never be forced to do anything that goes against your will or your values.

It is natural to go in and out of different levels of the mind during hypnosis. Many people even find they can easily speak to the hypnotist during a hypnosis session, making the sessions even more powerful.

Most people have a sense of wakening after hypnosis, but they have not been asleep only in a heightened state of awareness.  Hypnotic suggestions are used as part of the session to help you overcome roadblocks and make changes.

The subconscious mind, which is accessed during the hypnotic process, is a big part of this process of transformation because whatever you can conceive, you can achieve.

What does the research say?

Hypnosis has many applications. Hypnosis given to patients during surgical radiology diminished their pain and anxiety and also shortened the surgical times, reducing complications from the procedure. In another study, hypnosis was used with cancer patients helping them alleviate and better manage nausea and vomiting.
In a study done with 3000 smokers who participated in group hypnotherapy sessions, sponsored by the American Lung Association, 22% of participants were still not smoking for a full month afterward.
If hypnosis can help those with cancer and help during surgery, there are no limits to what else it can do.
Hypnosis has a wide range of applications including but not limited to:

  • Weight loss
  • Smoking cessation
  • Fears and phobias
  • Motivation and goal setting
  • Stress and anxiety
  • Test anxiety
  • Sports performance
  • Habit control
  • Releasing negative emotions
  • Relationship enhancement

Hypnosis can even help you achieve a greater level of success in life because it works on those subconscious blocks you don’t even realize you have.

If you want to transform your life and achieve positive outcomes, there is no simpler way.

I challenge you today to start thinking bigger. Ask yourself what kind of life you want to be living? What kind of changes have you been trying to make?

These might be big things or little things. The truth is the solution is easier than you think. Utilizing the techniques in hypnosis you can start retraining your mind and leaving those negative destructive thoughts behind.

That is the true power of hypnosis.
